TENDINITIS

The tendinitis is not reacting on local treatment
- deep transverse frictions afford no result => Is the technique correct?
- infiltrations give no improvement => Is the technique correct?
Treatment leads to good but temporary results
- Check if there is any calcification
- Check if there is any chronic over-use that might be the cause of the recurrent tendinitis
- Check if there is some gleno-humeral instability
- Check if there is any posterior capsular contracture
- Check if there is an anatomical divergence (Surgical decompression will be highly recommended if anatomical divergences cause recurrent tendinites at the shoulder.)
  1. Degenerative osteophytes at the caudal part of the acromio-clavicular joint
  2. Abnormal form or degenerative deformation of the acromion
  3. Deformations of the acromion or abnormal thickening of the coraco-acromial ligament
  4. Deformations at the level of the major tubercle of the humerus
