The typical pattern of a tennis elbow is:
only the resisted extension of the wrist is painful; al the other tests are negative.
However, a type II lesion may sometimes be complicated by a painful and slightly limited passive extension of the elbow.
The following options are then possible:

Whatever the cause is, the fact that there exists a limitation of the passive elbow extension contains a major contra-indication for Mills' manipulatons
