Sometimes an impacted piece of cartilage limiting the passive extension of the elbow co-exists with a tendinitis of the extensor carpi radialis brevis. (type II tenniselbow)
One should consider this possibility if the passive extension
of the elbow is lightly limited with a springy endfeel.
It is well possible that the tendonitis is secondary to the biomechanical changes that result from the impaction of the loos cartilage.
Treatment:
!! Attention !!
No Mill's manipulations as long as the passive extension is not back to normal (full range, painles and hard, normal endfeel) !!
