Infiltrations

Triamcinoloneacetonide

Indications

• Supraspinatus tendinitis at the tenoperiosteal junction
• Infraspinatustendinitis at the tenoperiosteal junction
• Subscapularistendinitis
• Bicepstendinitis at the glenoid origin.
• Acromio-clavicular sprain.
• Acute bursitis subdeltoideo-acromialis
• Subcoracoid Bursitis
• Chronic Subdeltoid Bursitis
• Chronic SubAcromial Bursitis

The following disorders are curable only by infiltrations with triamcinolone:

• Acute bursitis subdeltoideo-acromialis
• Subcoracoid Bursitis
• Bicepstendinitis at the glenoid origin.
• Acromio-clavicular sprain (of the deeper fibres).

Treatment of choice.

• Infiltration with triamcinolone is the treatment of choice in:
  • Subscapularistendinitis (deep frictions are quite painful)
  • Tendinitis complicated by calcifications
  • Gross inflammation and nocturnal pain
• deep frictions are the treatment of choice in:
  • Tendinitis in sportsmen
  • Relapse after an initially good result with Triamcinolone-infiltrations
  • Weakness of a tendon (partial rupture)
