The Shoulder
passive elevation in supine lying position
Execution:
- Supine lying position
- The examiner stands at the contralateral side of the body and immobilizes the lateral border of the scapula.
- Wit his other hand, the examiner takes the patient's arm just above the elbow
and lifts it up until the endfeel is reached.
- The angle between arm and scapula can easily be measured and compared to the lateral side.
- This is also a good test to compare the endfeel at both sides.
