Immobilizational Arthritis

Treatment:

The treatment of choice is I. A. injections or capsular stretching, depending on the degree of inflammation or 'stage'.

Sometimes distractions of the capsule is preferred.

• In stage I: Capsular stretching
• In stage II: Capsular stretching or I. A. injections, the preference will be for the steroid injections if there is:
  • nocturnal pain
  • spastic endfeel
• In stage III: I. A. injections or Capsular distractions)
