Chronic AC - strain
Treatment: Palpation of the A-C joint
Technique:
- Palpation of the anterior part
- The patient sits with his arm in the neutral position and his back resting against the cough.
- The anterior edge of the clavicle is palpated and followed in a lateral direction until a small depression is felt at the level of the joint line.
- The arm is then pulled into full lateral rotation.
- At the end of the movement the palpating finger feels the tension of the anterior part of the acromioclavicular ligament.
