Material

A thin 5 cm needle is fitted to a 2 ml syringe, filled with 20 mg Triamcinoloneacetonide.

Technique

Follow up and results

• Re-examination after two weeks.
• The injection is repeated if no full relief was obtained.
• Usually no more than three injections are required.
• The diagnosis should be reconsidered if there is no improvement after the first injection.
• Recurrences are rare.
