After a direct, local trauma to the capsule
After shoulder surgery.
Resulting from a complete rupture of the infraspinatus tendon.
The teres minor is a weak lateral rotator and cannot bring the arm in full lateral rotation. This finally leads to a loss of the normal elasticity of the anterior portion of the capsule.
