The Shoulder

Procedure:

• The thumb and index of one hand immobilize the lower angle of the scapula
• The other hand takes the arm just above the elbow
• The elbow is lifted up until the scapula starts to move

Normal range : 80-100°

Endfeel: ligamentous

Structures that bring the normal movement to a stop:

• Lower portion of the capsule.
• Contact between the major tubercle and the glenoid labrum
