Infiltrations : Follow up
The patient is warned against considerable discomfort for 12-24 hours following the infiltration. The pain can be reduced by a good analgesic and/ or application of ice.
Relative rest ( i.e no grasping pinching or lifting) for 10 to 14 days). Normal activity can be resumed after that period, eventually with some additional prophylactic measures.
Re-assessment and eventual new infiltration after two weeks.
A good prophylaxis after a complete recovery remains important.
Another treatment form should be considered if the lesion goes on relapsing at regular intervals.
