The patient lies supine, arm along the body and in slight
medial rotation.
The elbow is extended and the palm faces upwards.
The therapist is next to the elbow.
One 2 ml syringe, filled with 20 mg triamcinolone and fitted to a thin needle 4-5 cm long.
Technique
The cubital fossa between olecranon and medial epicondyle is easily palpated as well as the two heads of the flexor carpi radialis.

Also the ulnar nerve, running between the two tendinous heads of the
radial flexor can be palpated..
The needle is inserted one to two cm proximal to the
epicondyle and moved under the fibrous arcade of the flexor carpi ulnaris and further distally over about 3 cm.
Puncture of the nerve must be avoided.
The infiltration is performed during a slow withdrawal of the needle.
